BALDWIN
|
Baldwin is surrounded by mountains on all sides and is actually a part of the mountains section, it is the most western location on the layout. To be found at Baldwin are some important sites. There is a barrel manufacturing company, a lumber distributor, an ice company that services a fleet of refer cars, Union Sugar Co.'s beet transfer facility and a passenger station. From Baldwin the railroad goes to points west which is the Alamosa staging area. There is also a cut-off that allows trains to circle back under the layout to rejoin at the eastern side, or visa versa. |
