The city of Ford is the interchange hub for the railroad. Besides being an origin/terminal point Ford yard handles considerable transfer for through traffic. Along the main street of Ford and adjacent to the yard is New Marion passenger station (right center of map) which sees everything from commuter to intercontinental service. Located at the east end of the yard (lower left corner of left map are the leads-- and see map below) are facilities for both steam and diesel power and both are equipped to do moderate maintenance and repair. At the western end of the yard (upper left of map) is a facility for handling steel as both scrap and refined product.
