The logging area is shown on the map at the left. Besides the railroad main line the Sequoia Pacific Logging Company has considerable trackage leading to the timber areas. The logging trackage (in red) is separate from the main line and is now DCC controled. An added section along the top of the map now includes the log loader and the mid level turning wye. The main features of this area are the logging railroad, the Sequoia Pacific's lumber mill, the lumber distribution center and across the tracks from the mill, the Itasca passenger station.
