On November 9th we will be having an Open House (10am-4pm) & Swap Meet (10am-3pm)

The Los Angeles Model Railroad Society (LAMRS) will host an Open House & Swap Meet at our new location in Harbor City.

This Swap Meet is not to be missed! We have received numerous donations of new (many in the original boxes) and lightly used HO locomotives, passenger cars and rolling stock. They are ready for a new home.

New Sign, Improved Visibility

Our new lighted sign was installed today. It looks great and will make it easier for visitors to find the club.

Special thanks to Steve Matt for his generous donation to this project, Tim Steinmeier for the design of the sign, and Signvertise of Redondo Beach for making and installing the sign.

Open House & Swap Meet

The Los Angeles Model Railroad Society (LAMRS) hosted its first Open House &Swap Meet since we left our Hawthorne location and moved to Harbor City. We were pleased and amazed at how many folks turned out to tour the new layout. We also celebrated our most successful Swap Meet in club history. Every dollar we made will be put to good use as we continue to build the new layout.

Trial Run Ops Session

Last night the Los Angeles Model Railroad Society (LAMRS) hosted its first ops session to test out both the upper (Fresno and the sawmill) and lower levels (City of Industry) and the helix. All-in-all, it went very well. We had a great turnout of club members, as you can see from the photo. The Los Angeles Model Railroad Society (LAMRS) is alive and well. Come join us in the fun!

Wiring City of Industry

Wiring was completed on the City of Industry and a locomotive was tested. It ran the complete section, approximately 60 feet.
