GOLDEN SPIKE MILESTONE!
Today, the Los Angeles Model Railroad Society reached an important milestone. The final section of the mainline was completed and tested. Although we still have lots to do, today was the culmination of two years work at our new location in Harbor City.
There is still a lot to do, and we are looking for people who would like to help us complete this incredible project. It's a rare opportunity to create a new layout. Bring your skills to this endeavor, or come to learn some new ones.
Club members gather to celebrate the completion of the mainline at our new layout.

This is the actual location on the layout where the final spike was inserted, connecting the entire mainline.

Witness a 1000sf layout being built from scratch.Look behind-the-scenes of how a modern layout is constructed. Watch trains being run from our main yard to staging. See the workings of DCC, LCC, and a Helix. Standard gauge and narrow gauge tracks are being installed. Follow our progress or take part in the making of a new layout.

Torrance Library Holiday Display
The Torrance Library has invited our club to provide a model railroad themed holiday display during the month of December. This morning we set up the display. Drop in and check it out. The library is located at 3301 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503.

The Los Angeles Model Railroad Society will be attending the Cajon Division PSR of the NMRA Fall Meet on October 21, 2023 held at the Messiah Luthern Church, 6625 Dale St., Buena Park, CA. We will have several tables at the Swap Meet from 8:30 am to noon. Come and say hello and pick up some great bargins while you’re at it.
